possible design

what does everyone think of this design for a t-shirt/koozie? (obviously) there are two versions. one with white windows and one with black. i'm not sure which one i like better.

be honest, i won't get my feelings hurt.

i got the image from a picture that jessie milliff has up on facebook.. it's a black and white shot of the pirate flag in tatters. pretty awesome picture.

I think its a really really great design, but its kinda sad, at least to me. I was thinking something happier.

If people disagree, I'm fine with this one. Just sayin.

i like it. i think that it is too intricate for a shirt design though.

and can we have an outline of dru plaing dota inside?

or maybe a journey o clock themed image?

or maybe the steps and the door?

or maybe you can capture the essence of a cat not touching the floor boards. i dunno.

i actually really like this, but yes. i agree, it is a little sad. it'd look amazing screenprinted. but really, is there going to be any design that doesn't tear at heart stings?

Whether or not it ends up on a t-shirt, I love this. I agree that it's a little sad and rather intricate, but Katie's got a point. Any sort of shirt that really means something to us regarding the whole Upton legacy is going to be sad. But this is beautiful and I am totally down with this. However, if you try to develop another design I'd like to see that before we make a final decision, obviously.

i think itd be cool to have just the tattered pirate flag on it. somehow the notion of being more vague is meaningful to me.

i love it by the way. i want to make sure that is known. i think the best way to find the right image for a project like this is to see a bunch of them, even and especially, if you like the first one the most.

Of the 2 I'd go with the on without the blacked out windows...A little more positive of the message and legacy living on...

I like the idea of making it a little more vague and/or symbolic...

possibly 2 designs, one front and one back...

Have we talked abut colour yet...I know what everyone's thinking, it should be blue and orange, but I disagree =P
But seriously, have we talked about colour yet?

katie m. and i were talking a bit about color. she said it might be fastest to order white shirts with black ink. if it doesn't affect the time, and we do have a pirate flag design, i was imagining black shirts with red ink. i think it would be bad ass.
i will work on some more ideas today at work.
other possibilities in my mind are:
-upton steps, as sean suggested
-a journey (o) clock (although i know journey o'clock is really hard for some people these days so maybe not)
-the upton/banita or upton/north street signs

i also think it would be SO bad ass to have brian's circular picture going around the t-shirt. (for a project at school he took 360 degrees of pics standing in the street in front of upton and sompiled them all.) but maybe too expensive?

also that one from chris was from me.

hey jo, i was thinking black shirts with white ink. i only wear black, i'm assuming everyone else does too.

and i think we all need to remember that the best part about upton is/was the simiplicity. when making the design, i think we should incorporate this idea. so, i second the vague-ness. although i do seriously love the word on there.

i think we should come up with 5 designs and vote on one. if these need to be done by gettysburg, we need to get the order in. also, friends in nac. i know there is a shirt place there. if we can't meet our houston deadline, maybe we can make a nac deadline. it may make it easier since we'll all be meeting there and junk.

lemme know!

Wow, I really love this design! I think it looks really good, and I love the Upton logo. I like the blacked out windows best.

I really don't think that this is in any way too intricate for a t-shirt (check out some of the designs at Threadless.com for proof), but I would like to see if anyone has other ideas before deciding. I think my vote is for this design, though.

I'm not, however, so sure about how this would look on a black t-shirt. I think it would look a little lost?

Jo, you did a great job!

We can be picky, or we can have an awesome shirt.

Size medium please!

medium for me! i also have that pan-o-ramic in my bathroom if yall wanna use it. i would personally like the cover of ConAir squared up on the back, but not everyone appreciates its brilliance
